Raków Częstochowa have Robin González in their sights. The Polish Ekstraklasa side is in advanced talks to sign the 27-year-old Colombian attacking midfielder from NK Vukovar 1991. Reports suggest Raków have tabled an offer close to €750,000, but the Croatian club is holding firm and demanding their full valuation.
Who is Robin González?
Born in Cartagena de Indias, the Caribbean gem, González has played for NK Vukovar 1991 since February 2020. Over six seasons in Croatia, he made 136 appearances, scoring 28 goals and providing 19 assists. His versatility and offensive threat make him a hot property across Europe. Last term, his team finished bottom and were relegated to the second tier, freeing him to move.
Why does Raków Częstochowa want him?
Raków, currently 17th in the Ekstraklasa with zero points, are hunting for reinforcements in this summer’s transfer window. So far they’ve signed five new players, including Hungarian midfielder Ádin Molnár for around €750,000. González could add quality to the attack, especially as Raków’s next fixture isn’t until 31 October 2026, away to Pogon Szczecin.
The competition for his signature
González is not the only suitor. Croatian clubs are also in the hunt, according to reports. The main hurdle remains the asking price set by NK Vukovar 1991. With a year left on his contract, the Colombian is not a free agent, complicating any deal. Raków will have to move fast if they’re to land him before the window slams shut.
Raków Częstochowa currently sit 17th in the Ekstraklasa with zero points and won’t play again until hosting Pogon Szczecin on 31 October 2026, the ninth-placed side in the table.
