Negotiations with Udinese
Raków Częstochowa is fully focused on the return leg against Hajduk Split, whose stakes are qualification to the Conference League group stage. At the same time, the club is intensifying talks with Udinese Calcio regarding Rui Modesto, the 26-year-old Angolan defender-winger. Alessandro Vescini of Tuttoudinese.it reported that the transfer could be finalized in the coming days.
Player profile
Modesto has played 23 Serie A matches, scoring two assists, and has seven caps for the Angola national team. In 2024 he moved to Udinese from AIK for €2 million. After the season he returned to Udine, but coach Kosta Runjaić does not see him in his plans, opening the door for a separation.
Transfer history
The Angolan was linked with a move to the Ekstraklasa a few months ago. Jagiellonia Białystok showed interest in the winter, but Modesto was loaned to Palermo. Now Raków wants to take advantage of the opportunity to strengthen its squad.
