Raków Częstochowa are finalizing another reinforcement for the new season. According to Tomasz Włodarczyk of Meczyki.pl, the PKO BP Ekstraklasa club are set to loan Ali Al-Hamadi from Ipswich Town. The 24-year-old Iraq international striker will join the Medaliki to strengthen their attack. Raków finished last season 4th in Ekstraklasa with 55 points (16W-7D-11L) and a recent form of WWLWW.
Ali Al-Hamadi is an experienced striker with 23 caps and 5 goals for Iraq. In 2024, he made history as the first Iraqi player to feature in the Premier League with Ipswich Town, playing 11 matches. He later gained experience on loan at Stoke City and Luton Town, where he regularly appeared.
Al-Hamadi’s transfer is another step in Raków’s attacking rebuild. The club, which won 4 of their last 5 matches (WWWWL), aims to boost competition up front. The Medaliki, who scored 51 goals and conceded 40 last season (+11 goal difference), want to maintain their strong form. Their last win, 3-0 against Arka Gdynia (23.05.2026), showcased their potential.
Al-Hamadi could become a key part of Raków’s attack, especially with Stratos Svarnas currently sidelined. The Iraqi’s loan signals the club’s ambition after finishing just 5 points behind leaders Lech Poznań last season. The new season has yet to start, but the Medaliki are already preparing to challenge for the top spots.
