Raków Częstochowa close to loan deal for Luton Town striker
Raków Częstochowa, currently 4th in Ekstraklasa with 55 points (16W-7D-11L), is considering strengthening their attack by loaning Lasse Nordas from Luton Town. The 24-year-old Norwegian could join the team before the Conference League qualifier against Valletta, scheduled for Thursday at 18:30.
Who is Lasse Nordas?
Nordas is a 24-year-old striker who played for Luton Town and on loan at Heerenveen last season. In 17 league matches in the Netherlands, he scored 6 goals and provided one assist. Raków Częstochowa had previously shown interest in the Norwegian, but financial terms couldn't be agreed upon at the time.
Why is Raków looking for a new striker?
According to Tomasz Włodarczyk from Meczyki, Raków Częstochowa is preparing for a possible departure of Jonatan Braut Brunes. Therefore, Dawid Kroczek's team is seeking additional firepower up front. Emreli, who joined from Legia Warsaw, might not be enough.
What's next for Raków?
In the coming days, Raków Częstochowa will face Valletta in the Conference League qualifiers. If they advance, they will play the loser of the match between Hammarby and Anderlecht in the next round. In Ekstraklasa, the team will resume their campaign on July 26 with a match against Wisła Płock.
