Raków Częstochowa will face Wieczysta Kraków in the next Ekstraklasa match on Friday, 16 October. The game will be played away, with the hosts currently sitting 15th in the league table.

Manager Dawid Szwarga's team goes into this clash following a heavy 4-1 defeat to GKS Katowice last week. The only goal for Raków in that match was scored by Patryk Makuch in the 37th minute, who is currently the team's top scorer this season with six goals. Raków Częstochowa finds itself in a difficult league position, occupying 18th and last place with just three points from ten games.

Manager Dawid Szwarga stressed that the team must quickly forget the last defeat and focus on the upcoming challenge. "Wieczysta is a team also fighting for points, so the match will be demanding," Szwarga said. "We need to be more focused from the first minute and avoid the mistakes that cost us in recent games."

The Raków squad has had very mixed form in its last five matches, recording two wins and three losses. A 4-1 victory over Polonia Bytom was followed by a 3-2 loss to Korona Kielce and the defeat to GKS Katowice.

Ahead of Friday's match, Raków Częstochowa trails the league leaders, Gornik Zabrze, by 22 points. The team has scored 13 goals but conceded 25, giving them a goal difference of -12. Their direct opponent, Wieczysta Kraków, has four more points, making a win key for improving their position.

The last direct meeting between these teams did not take place in the top flight, adding an element of unpredictability to the match. For Raków, this is a chance to break a run of poor results and gain valuable points in the fight for survival. The upcoming matches, including this fixture, are listed in the fixtures calendar.

Preparations for the match are proceeding normally, and manager Szwarga has most of his key players available. The final lineup will be announced on Friday ahead of the 8:30 PM kick-off. Raków Częstochowa will be hoping that Patryk Makuch and other forwards, like B. Mircetic who scored twice against Polonia Bytom, can repeat their good performances.
