Raków Częstochowa's Ekstraklasa match against Pogoń Szczecin will be available to viewers via a live broadcast. The fixture, scheduled for Sunday, 2nd November, will be aired by the CANAL+ platform.
CANAL+ Sport will provide full coverage of the event at the Miejski Stadium in Częstochowa. Access to the stream is available for subscribers of the CANAL+ platform online and on television. This is the standard offering for fans of the Polish top flight this season.
For Raków, sitting in 18th place with just six points, this is a chance to break a terrible run of form. Manager Dawid Szwargot's team has lost eight of their twelve league games so far, with only two wins and no draws in the league. In the direct battle to avoid relegation, every point is key. The opponent, Pogoń Szczecin, is in fourth position and is the clear favourite for Sunday's clash. This season, Raków has been conceding goals on average in the 53rd minute of their matches. The team also has a negative goal difference of 16-28 after twelve matchdays.
Raków's last result was a 1-1 draw with Motor Lublin, where an equalising goal in added time was scored by Lamine Diaby-Fadiga. However, that was only the second match this season from which the Częstochowa side did not emerge defeated. A better moment of form might be the 2-1 victory over Wieczysta Kraków in the Polish Cup sixteen days ago.
The key player in attack remains Patryk Makuch, who has scored six goals for the team in twelve appearances and is their top scorer this season. His efficiency will be essential to break down the visitors' defence.
The last head-to-head meeting between these teams, played on 8th March this year, ended in a comfortable 2-0 victory for Raków. Repeating such a result would be a major surprise, considering the current gap in the standings. Raków is 22 points behind leaders Lech Poznań.
Sunday's match is the first in a series of important November tests. After the clash with Pogoń, Raków will face Górnik Zabrze in their next league fixture. A point from this game would be a huge success and a boost for the team from Częstochowa in their ongoing fight.
